Midwife in Berlin On How To Pack Your Hospital Bag
Once you have decided on where you are going to give birth
And your EDD is approaching fast, one of the most frequently asked and googled questions is:
How to pack your hospital bag?
In the end you could turn up at least to a hospital, without anything. In my opinion a German hospital has everything, if needed. Maybe that takes pressure of you. But of course it is nicer to wear your own clothes.
My little advice is to pack 2 bags. One for the actual birth and one for after. That way the bags, suitcases can be smaller. The rooms are not so big. And we tend to overpack.
I find having this bag ready 4 weeks before your EDD gives you lots of time to pack, unpack, pack ..and so on.
