Midwife in Berlin Energy Balls recipe
I am normally not that kind of recipe girl, but hey, here I am writing you this one down. You should think outside the box, right?
So please meet the Energy Balls recipe.
Eating healthy is sometimes, who am I kidding, most of the times not easy while looking after a newborn baby and as well breastfeeding.
Once I realize that I am hungry I need to eat NOW. And what do you end up doing? You eat junk, or at least I do, because it is easy accessible. I rarely pick up an apple if I feel that way.
Eating healthy is hard
They come in handy when you are starving and are super easy to make. All you will need are some ingredients (of course) and a good food processor.
The Energy Balls can be stored in the fridge for at least a week, and I have to tell my hubby that they are just for breastfeeding human beings!
For the energy balls recipe you will need:
- 70 g Almonds
- 70 g Dates
- 70 g Cashew nuts
- 70 g Pumpkin seeds
- 100g Rolled oats
- 50 g Unsweetened cacao
- 20 g Honey
- Coconut milk
- Desiccated coconut
Here is how it works
You blend all the ingredients in a food processor until they mix well, then add coconut milk. The ingredients should get wet and soft but not too soft, so maybe 20 ml is enough.
After that, roll little balls in the size of a cherry. If wanted, coat them with desiccated coconut. Keep them stored in your fridge.
Eat when the hunger overwhelms you and enjoy.
Appetite maith,
I am happy if you leave a reply
